FINKLER (Thome) Irene, age 90, of Alpine Township passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her loving husband LaVerne C. Finkler, parents Joseph and Theresa Thome, brothers Joe and Robert Thome, sisters in-law Margaret and Bernadette Thome, and son in-law Steven Jonker. Irene is survived by her children Jean (Bud) Barron, Char (Paul) Polega, Mary Jo Jonker, Tom (Robin) Finkler, John (and his life partner Gary Jacobus)Finkler, Sue Ann Wissink, LuAnn (Gaspare) Calandrino and her 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Rev. John Thome, Dick (Dorothy) Thome, Rev. Edwin Thome, Jerry Thome, and sister in-law Pat Thome. Irene was very family oriented and a life long member of Holy Trinity Parish. The family would love to extend sincere thanks to the special caregivers at the Sanctuary of St. Mary's and In House Hospice. There will be a visitation on Sunday, April 3, from 2 to 5pm with a Rosary Service at 4:00pm at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave., Comstock Park. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Along with her wishes, cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Holy Trinity Parish or In House Hospice.
