Warren Jerome Guiles

Warren J. Guiles, age 91, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 the first day of Parkinson's Awareness month. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric; daughter-in-law, Krissy; sisters, Barbara (Dave) Tisdel and Rose (Dale) Howard; sister-in-law, Faye. Warren is survived by his wife of almost 72 years, Aloe; sons, James (Jeffrey), Tim (Kimberly), Kim, Kris (Vikki); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; brothers, Floyd, Stan, and Mel (Mary Jo). Warren was a fourth generation maple syrup producer for the family farm, Guiles Sugar Shack.  He loved to take his family on vacation, especially fishing on Lake Superior and the cottage on Croton dam. Warren had a passion for music and enjoyed the fellowship of the Dulcimer clubs. He was a lifelong Tool & Die Maker, retiring from Autodie in 1991. After he retired, Warren drove a school bus for 15 years, blessed with transporting handicapped children which he loved.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 19, 1:00 pm at Sparta United Methodist Church, 54 E. Division St, Sparta, MI with Pastor Kevin Guetschow officiating. Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery, Sparta. Friends and relatives may meet the family at church for a visitation from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Warren faithfully attended the local Parkinson's foundation therapy group every Monday for 15 years.
