About Us

Beuschel Funeral Home is committed to Loving People & Honoring Lives, guided by our values of Compassion, Community, Integrity, Excellence, and Trust. We provide meaningful support to families, offering closure with empathy and respect.



Founded by Brent Beuschel and his wife, Erin, the funeral home carries a legacy of care. Brent, a licensed funeral director with experience in Chicago and Grand Rapids, passed away in October 2021. A fifth-generation farmer with a Finance degree from Michigan State University and a certificate from Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Brent ran the funeral home in memory of his father, lost at age seven. His family’s history traces back to the Hayward Funeral Home, run by his great-great-grandfather Frederick (Fritz) Hayward in Casnovia (1800s–1900s). A 1920s portrait of Fritz is displayed in the funeral home.


Now led by Licensed Funeral Director Meghan Kehr, we uphold Brent’s vision with compassionate, dignified service. Located on Alpine Avenue south of 6 Mile, our facility includes three chapels and a fellowship hall for luncheons. We offer funeral services, pre-arrangements, and community support, treating every family as our own with the utmost care and respect.
